London Disputes Boutique Candey Expands to Singapore with First Asian Office

London disputes boutique Candey recently announced the establishment of an office in Singapore, marking the firm’s first presence in Asia.

 

Founded in 2009, Candey maintains offices in London, New York, and the British Virgin Islands (BVI), providing legal services in commercial litigation, arbitration, insolvency, fraud, and trust disputes. The new Singapore office will work closely with its other locations, focusing on complex cross-border disputes involving multiple jurisdictions and offshore structures.

 

Christopher Bailey, Global Head of Energy and Infrastructure at Candey, will serve as Managing Partner for the Singapore office and the Asia-Pacific region. His practice primarily covers cross-border disputes in energy, infrastructure, construction, and investment arbitration. Bailey joined Candey in January 2025, having previously practiced at Stephenson Harwood in Singapore and London, and served as a partner at Ashurst and King & Spalding.
